Well, here I am!
Never thought much about it before
Always thought I would be clad with preparedness
I’m here but I’m amazed – not prepared.
I woke up one day last week and knew I had arrived.
No regrets for the ending –
Just tired and I want to sit down.
Ten years ago I was forced out of a nursing home that was in desperate need of my leadership
Today I am leaving the healthcare world with little remorse.
I’m here!
I wanted to work ‘til I turned 80.
Hopefully it will all be completed by February.
I am officially older but I will not be OLD.
The symptoms my body displays catch you off guard
My brain is still processing.
I’m here.
I’m retired!
